3 Type of Volcano

Earth scape is a dinamic landscae, it is change over time. One of the main reason of this change is the Volcanic eruption that produce volcanic pile material. There are various forms of eruption (landscape). Among them are cinder cone volcano (strato), prism volcano  (shield), and fire funnel (maar). The most common form of volcanoes is the strato.

Cinder Cone Volcano

Type of Strato Volcano

Cinder Cone Volcano or strato is a volcano that is formed in layers, it is small, steeply sloped volcano that forms from moderately explosive eruptions of pyroclastic material.
The layer comprises a mixture of lava and eflata materials. Eflata is the material from volcanic eruption which is solid material. The volcanic eruption was freely stockpiled around the eruption center. Then above the eflata layer, the melt lava forms a layer of igneous rock as the body of a volcano. The process happens repeatedly and continuously for a long time. Flood, formed volcanic cones around the eruption center. This volcanic cone has layers of concave shape.
Examples of strato volcanoes include Mount Agung (Indonesia), Fuji mountain (Japan), Mount Vesuvius and Mount Etna (Italy), and Mt. Helens (United States).

Shield Volcano

Shield Volcano Mountain

Shield Volcano is a very wide-ranging volcano made of layers of lava and formed by quiet eruptions with very sloping slopes. Shield volcanoes are formed from molten lava (dilute) melt. The liquid magma is very dilute out of the eruption hole, it melts around the eruption hole. The melted hole is shaped like a shield. Examples of famous shield volcanoes are located in the Hawaii islands of Mauna, Loa, Mauna Kea, and Kilauea.

Maar Volcano

volcano type

The Fire Mountain funnel or maar is the volcano that made by the eruption of a shallow magma kitchen and has a relatively small volume.  Maar volcano only experienced one eruption, then the volcanic activity is stopped. Maar volcano is formed from heaps of efflata. This form of volcano is like a circular embankment. It’s slope is not too steep. The central part of the maar volcano which is a hollow with a waterproof affection. If it filled with rain water, it will form a lake. Example of  lake formed by volcano maar among others are Ranu Klakah on the slopes of Lamongan mountain in Indonesia and Eifel lake in France. The power of volcanic eruptions contains the power of gas and the volume of magma in it. Physically, the volcanic eruption force is caused by the pressure and volume of gas trapped within the magma chamber.

Geologically, the force of the eruption is contracted by the depth and volume of the magma chamber.
Based on the strength level of the eruption, volcanoes are classified from eight types, namely Eslandian, Hawaiian, Strombolian, Vesuvian, Krakatoan, Pelean, and Plinian.
